Skills Assessment

Skills assessment

What is a Skills Assessment?

Skills assessments are issued by relevant skills assessing authorities. A skills assessing authority is an organisation that checks that your skills meet the standards they set to work in a relevant occupation.
Most occupations in each list have their own skills assessing authority.

We can only accept a skills assessment issued by the relevant assessing authority.

Check here what is the relevant assessing authority for your occupation. Each assessing authority has its own assessment procedures, timeframes and charges.

Getting a Skills Assessment

Every occupation has its own relevant assessing authority to deal with to receive a positive result. We can help you to find the right pathway for you.

Skills assessments are just the tip of the iceberg and can be a big commitment to achieve. It is a good idea to determine if you meet the other requirements for a particular migration pathway before you proceed with a skills assessment, if migration is the sole reason for applying for a skills assessment.
Another important tip is to ensure that the occupation you are being assessed for is the best match for your employment history and qualifications. Documents and information which you provide in a skills assessment which is not successful can make it difficult to pursue a skills assessment under a different occupation later on.
