
The Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) visa is a permanent visa that allows skilled workers to live in Australia, based on a nomination by an Australian state or territory. This visa is available to applicants who are skilled in a specific occupation which must be found on the list of eligible profession. Each state or territory has its own list of occupations, requirements and processes depending on the skill shortages in that area.
In order to apply for a Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) visa, you must first lodge an Expression of Interest and be invited by an Australian state or territory.
Once the applicant is invited to apply for a skilled visa, the application must lodged your application within 60 days, otherwise the invitation lapses. Accordingly, it is very important that applicants have all required documentation prepared to be lodged as soon as possible after receiving the invitation.
